Vice President Joe Biden, in a speech in Israel at Tel Aviv University, spoke about the -- enduring partnership between the United States and Israel. Transcript

The United States State Department released a report charging the government of Afghan President Hamid Karzai with having a "poor" human rights record, tarnished by widespread impunity for security forces who commit abuses; violence against women; torture and extra-judicial killings.

The United States Federal Highway Administration created an online map of the U.S. that shows over 12,000 Recovery Act road projects. Each of the dots on the map represented a project. The full, interactive version on the map allows visitors to click the dots in order to learn more about these projects. Source

The United States Justice Department's spokeman Matthew Miller acknowledged before the United States Senate Judiciary Committee that, during his confirmation last year, Attorney General Eric Holder failed to notify the Senate that he had signed several briefs urging courts to reject the former U.S. President George W. Bush's claim that he had the power to imprison an American citizen as an "enemy combatant". Source
