Hurricane Katrina destroyed much of the instrumentation at the DuPont First Chemical facility in Pascagoula, MS, in November 2005. It was under 9 ft. of debris-filled salt water for at least eight hours, making it a temporary home for snakes, fish, and alligators.

A March 2007 press release from Control Engineering reports that while Hurricane Katrina destroyed much of the instrumentation at the DuPont First Chemical facility, after restart 102 days later, benefits of an upgrade were being recorded. Separately, Dow Chemical learned how the new technology could accumulate significant savings. Katrina was a boon to DuPont. [18]

Although it wasn’t the only contractor, ABB’s share of the facility’s post-Katrina reconstruction was significant.

Additional savings are expected over time with “reduction of onsite part numbers, better management of inventory and maintenance, and more efficient production,” according to analysis estimates. Katrina provided the perfect opportunity for retrofitting the chemical industry infrastructure while the poor sleep in tents under the I-10 overpass.

The Mainstream Press and Bilderberg

Defenders of the Bilderberg Group say it is merely a self-governed association of academics and politicians who support the open market system.

But there is clearly more to the association of individuals than free market enthusiasts.

Explaining the lack of thorough media coverage, Bilderberg enthusiasts cite a media time-frame that is not compatible with most daily news reports, “such awareness is not easy to create.”

So the news is absent if not manipulated. The mainstream has not done a very good job of covering post-Katrina issues and disparities in New Orleans either.

For at least the past forty years, depopulation has been an accepted tenet of American foreign policy, and arguably became an accepted domestic practice with the “gentrification” of American cities.

The mainstream press has aided and abetted this assault on the Constitution that promotes an end to personal liberty and manipulation of the free flow of information. An important step in selling the idea to the public, and the best way to accomplish the sale, was to instill fear through the concept of scarcity of resources, i.e. energy, i.e. oil.

The State Department, Bush, Rockefeller and Global 2000

In 1975, Secretary of State Henry Kissinger formed another obscure policy- group called the U.S. State Department's Office of Population Affairs. This group drafted Global 2000, under the direction of President Jimmy Carter. Global 2000 calls for global population reduction. The Kissinger influence may or may not be noteworthy, depending upon the intrinsic ties to the Bilderberg Group.

The influential journal, Foreign Affairs, reviewed Global 2000 in the Spring of 2000. Writer Andrew J. Pierre crowed, “This is a massive and important study, in which all relevant U.S. government agencies participated, of world trends in population, natural resources, and the environment. Serious stresses by the year 2000 are clearly visible in a world more crowded (6.35 billion as compared to 4 billion population in 1975), far more polluted, less stable ecologically, and more vulnerable to disruption. The progressive impoverishment of the world's natural-resource base raises concerns about the earth's capacity to continue to provide for human needs. Because this study is more comprehensive and moderate in tone than many others-such as the Club of Rome's-it may have greater credibility.” [19]

There it was again, just as the Bilderberg group warned, the earth stood to have far too many people if something was not done to stem the tide of humanity. But what about the reference to the “Club of Rome?” Who belonged to that club, and would anyone want to be a member?

A report by the EIR (Executive Intelligence Review) on March 10, 1981 suggested a planning apparatus operating outside the control of the White House whose sole purpose is to “reduce the world's population by 2 billion people through war, famine, disease and any other means necessary.” The targeting agency for the operation is the National Security Council's Ad Hoc Group on Population Policy, which has direct ties to the Club of Rome.

The “Club” was founded in 1968 by industrialist Aurelio Peccei with British scientist Alexander King and coined the term 'world problematique' which amounted to saying there are too many people. Conspiracy theorists have linked the Club of Rome to the “Committee of 300” and the term “useless eaters,” i.e., too many poor black Africans consuming scarce natural resources.

Too Many Useless Conspiracy Theories or Ties That Bind?

Abundant conspiracy theories have unfortunately titrated the useful information about these groups that suggest there is indeed some sort of link between population control idealists, information manipulation, and depopulation of urban areas.
