Zoe Hudson has a background in Tera Mai Seichem (4) and Metamorphic Technique (5,6) and has a Foundation degree in environmental art and rural crafts, which has enabled her to weave together professional services of healing, creativity and nature. She has co-founded with Sue Claire Morris "Healing Hearts and Landscapes", a creative service of reconnection to the Celtic wheel, the Labyrinth and the Moving Mandala. Zoe furthermore is a proud member of Traveler's Joy based in Canada founded by Nancy Sherwood with a team of experienced practitioners and fellow pilgrims.
Zoe works with people who are concerned about the future of those they love. She is not one to deny the issues of the modern day, believing either (a) no problem exists; (b) technology and corporations will "fix" things; (c) things will get better by themselves or (d) positive thought alone will create positive change. .
" No!" she states emphatically. She believes we have the power to change the world. You and I are particles manifesting in an infinite wave pregnant with a healthy future for the planet and our loved ones. Her remark is interesting given that physics (e.g., Bohm) and neurological studies (e.g., Pribram) show that what is out there (i.e., this screen) is a wave which is then interpreted by the body (at the back of the brain) as an image.
" Does the Soul wish the know the nature of a man, a horse, or a cart?" asks the mystic Meister Eckhart. "She creates an image!" he answers. According to the neurology of Karl Pribram, it appears the Soul does this magic through a form of calculus called Fourier Transforms. This is crazy! If Pribram is right, the Mind has been doing calculus for who knows how many centuries. Since the beginning of time, perhaps? Meditate on this. Even in the initial evolutionary stages creatures were perceiving by the use of Fourier Transforms! Calculus!
" Wisdom pervades and permeates this entire world," says the Bible's "Book of Hagia Sophia" (New Jerusalem edition).
Zoe believes we exist for everything else, including the future generations. Thus, we can change the future by changing the past. WHOA! Did she just say change the future by changing the past? Yes, she states that we change the past! Is her belief just some silly "new age" paradigm inherent in crazy women gazing into crystal balls thinking positive? Or is her belief legit? "If you so believe, so it is" say the great thinkers, including Christ. Thus, both Zoe and her critics are "right". Both receive what they believe.
As stated by Cynthia Sue Larson (7):
People who've experienced reality shifts are much more open to considering the possibility that the future and present can change the past, and that there's some credence to physicist John Cramer's Transactional Interpretation of quantum physics, and the notion of a "handshake" between future and the past that allows for the kind of symmetry in time we expect in space. Considering that space-time is a continuum, and physics fully allows for time-forward and time-reversed causality, a whole new world of possibility begins to open up.
To use a more concrete and simple example, there is no distinction between what is written in history books and the mindset of the historian in relation to his or her culture. We take what is written in history books as literal fact. This state does not exist. History books are the result of the historian's conditioning, and what he is told to write in order to keep the story under the direction of the "powers that be." As Napoleon realized, "history is a lie agreed upon!"
So, what if we started writing Herstory books? Or Whalestory books? Or, most appropriately, Earthstory books? What about Soulstory books? This would link Earthstory to Soulstory in the sense that Earthstory would focus on events in time whereas Soulstory would focus on what's now. Thus, a book like Genesis 1 of the Bible could be considered a Soulstory, whereas Earthstory could tell about the evolution of life on Earth. The Soulstory book could also include the Unmanifest Implicate Order of physicist David Bohm and reveal to the reader that she has infinite potential in the depths of her being!
How would the powers that be, religious, political and corporate, react if we realized we could tap into the creative moment existing prior to time and make substantial changes? If this is beyond belief, go deeply into the mind. Unfortunately, because we have noisy egos, this is not easy to do. Yet, I can tell you that the Creative Moment, the Uncreated Silence of Genesis 1, exists everywhere, yet is locatable nowhere. The Creative Moment, Genesis, is Here and Now in the infinite depths of your Psyche.
Returning to the Beloved Zoe, also a name pointing towards the Unmanifest, which is infinite Energy or Life: What is the labyrinth she uses if not a metaphorical journey to the center, the Uncreated and Creative Point existing in the spaceless and timeless realm of infinity?
All roads lead Home.
While the human empires shall fall, Zoe, Infinite Life, and Her daughters and sons will continue on. This does not mean I'm discounting a major extinction on Earth, especially human beings. Humans are temporal. Zoe is beyond time and space.
Zoe as timeless, spaceless and infinite life acts through Her daughters and sons, such as Her namesake, Zoe Hudson. Through Her daughter, Zoe, She entices us to move towards the center through our art, and in our actions, so that we can become co-creators with Her. "Oh, how joyous for me," She says to Her children, "to conceive an 'other' for, without an 'other', how can I be known?" Yet when She gazes into the heart of Her namesake, Zoe, She sees Herself and no one else. The same is true of all those that read this article. Belief in Her or no belief. Doesn't matter.
Thus, motherhood is indeed a joy, be it of a baby, a work of art, or a universe of several dimensions. Zoe manifests most fully as human beings like Zoe to bring joy back to human labor, for women in general, as well as those of us that labor class, and in response to the "labor in pain" curse given to Eve by the jealous Patriarch of Genesis 1:3.
