1) Parabens

First on the list of toxic chemicals to avoid in your own personal care products are Parabens. Most makeup have preservatives called parabens that protect the products against any bacterial growth like yeast and mould. This may seem like something good; nonetheless, parabens don't only protect cosmetic products from germs but can also be found to possess estrogen-mimicking properties.

As per a recent research, parabens can cause breast cancer. These compounds are available in deodorants, shampoo, lotions and cosmetics products, etc. Besides cosmetic goods, you can discover these preservatives in food products in addition to pharmaceuticals.

2) DEA INGREDIENTS

It is possible to find DEA-related chemicals mainly in foamy and cream-type products such as shampoos, shaving creams, and moisturizers. Though small usage of DEA and its chemical chemicals can cause just a little irritation to eyes and skin, according to research, high exposure to such substances can cause cancer, precancerous changes to the skin and thyroid.

Studies have also proven that DEA chemicals can react with nitrites generally found in decorative products and form nitrosamines which according to study is just another potential human carcinogen. Other comparable poisonous chemicals to avoid in your own personal care products that can react with nitrites and create nitrosamines are MEA and TEA.

3) FRAGRANCES

You might think the odor is an unusual choice to include on the list of toxic substances to avoid in your personal care products, but virtually all the cosmetic and body care products people use contain some fragrance or cologne mixtures to provide a pleasant odor. However, that is not just what odor provides you with.

According to skin by Environment working class, some of the mixtures can cause asthma and cause allergies. Furthermore, a few of the scents are linked to neurotoxicity and cancer. Fragrances are seen in shampoo, soaps, perfumes, cologne, conditioner, body wash, and lotions.

4) TRICLOSAN

Triclosan is popularly referred to as the endocrine disruptor and can result in disturbance in reproductive, thyroid hormones, and skin irritation. It can be seen in private health care products, oral and dental items like toothpaste, and also in household items.

Furthermore, it can also be present in antibacterial soaps. But studies reveal that there is not any supporting evidence by washing yourself or kitchen things with antibacterial soaps containing triclosan have some advantages over using ordinary soaps. Triclosan is one of those poisonous compounds to avoid in your personal care products.

5) PHTHALATES

These chemicals are utilized to increase the softness and flexibility of the products. These toxic compounds to prevent your personal care products are also known as endocrine disruptors and are said growth breast cancer risk, reproductive birth defects and premature breast development in young women.

Unfortunately, similar to what's done with scents, the cosmetic business uses a legal loophole in which companies are allowed not to include "secret formula" ingredients on their products. They use this as a way to not have to write about phthalates about the labels. For your identification functions, note that some of the most frequently utilized Phthalates found in personal care products are all dimethyl phthalates, diethyl phthalates, and dibutyl phthalates. Search for them on makeup and you could just get lucky.
