USNS Hospital Ship "Comfort" Arrives in NYC to Cuomo Welcome

Minutes ago, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo welcomed the arrival of a Navy hospital ship intended to relieve New York hospitals dealing with a rapidly expanding load of coronavirus patients. The USNS Comfort will provide roughly 1,000 hospital beds, Cuomo said on Twitter, and 1,200 personnel to New York. COVID-19 patients will not be treated on the ship, but other patients will be moved to the vessel to free up space and resources in New York’s strained hospitals.
