"Two interesting articles assessing what Donald Trump will do to change the federal role in education and to "change" American education by privatizing it.  The bottom line is that Trump wants competition and privatization. The "choice" is the big 'LIE', as he will give us vouchers and charter schools, ala  DFER, Duncan, and King." He will bring change alright: THE INSTITUTION OF PUBLIC EDUCATION will be  privatized like health was handed over to the business industry to 'enhance competition', and we see what that did for the people. First is Liz Dwyer's article, reviewing his various promises. Emily Deruy also reviews Trump's plans and speculates on his possible choices for Secretary of a Department that will shrink or disappear!
