Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Sen. Amy Klobuchar are the two best candidates running in the Democratic presidential primary, according to a New York Times editorial.
The newspaper says Warren offers serious, progressive proposals, but that the former Republican is pragmatic and able to work well with others. She is also a "gifted story teller" which helps her relate well with voters.
Klobuchar, the Times said, offers a more moderate path to the White House that can also work. The paper praised her as "the very definition" of Midwestern charisma and grit.
In contrast, the Times "mentioned Sen. Bernie Sander's age, 78 and 'serious concerns' about health and noted his unwillingness to compromise," Associated Press coverage of the endorsements say.
