Shocking revelations and allegations about the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol by a pro-Trump mob are fueling bipartisan efforts to impeach or otherwise immediately remove President Trump.
The mounting evidence makes clear why Trump, his appointees and his allies are increasingly suspected of facilitating the deadly riot to create enough chaos to reverse national election results so Trump's presidency could continue. Five died during the riot, including a policeman trying to protect lawmakers and staff.
