President Donald Trump’s campaign raked in $30 million in the first quarter of 2019 and had more than $40 million cash on hand, amassing a record war chest and far outpacing the field of Democratic candidates heading into the 2020 race, according to the campaign. Combined with $46 million raised by the Republican National Committee, the full Trump re-election effort is expected to have a grand total of $82 million in the bank, with the campaign doubling what it had at the end of last year. Trump's total is more than the top two Democratic candidates combined — Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who pulled in $18.2 million for the quarter and California Sen. Kamala Harris, who took in $12 million.

This is not impressive. Just two of 20 Democratic candidates raised as much as Trump and the entire Republican party.

Bernie alone has $28 million on hand and he has the disadvantage of not having Airforce one and the resources of the presidency to campaign with. I see this as VERY good news for Bernie and the opposition to Trump.

Trump also enjoys official party support while true Democratic populists are marginalized and cheated by their own party.

Take a look at Trump's main donors click here

Look a bit deeper and you'll find Israeli ties abound.

That's cuz AIPAC all but controls the US. Wish I were in SLC right now, Daniel. We could get fired up with another 'ain't it awful' party...or maybe just not follow politics anymore as they don't listen to us anyway...we'd have more fun on wine-tasting tours....

It's an abhorrent, disgusting, immoral, reprehensible cesspool of greed and corruption that has taken over the government of the United States. The once, "for the people", country has now turned into "the one who has the most money wins" country. Add to that, gerrymandering, lost ballots, reduced number of polling places and polling hours, voter purging, the Electoral College which does not have to vote to reflect the will of the people, and personhood given the Corporations. It is decades past time to remove SuperPacs and millionaire donations. Public Service Announcements used to be the way candidates could get their messages to the voting populace. All candidates had equal, free air time ads on television...all that is gone..and now citizens are petitioned daily to contribute to their candidate and political party....doesn't give the poor or the working class much of a "voice". We HAVE to get money out of politics if we ever hope to have a real democracy. Plain and simple. It was yet another email plea to donate to a candidates' campaign that prompted this response from me...so I guess I'll be donating to End Citizen's United...again. Dang, I'm turning into an angry old witch.

Hey, if the rich want to throw their money on a loser, let them.

He will be a loser.
