Donald Trump said in an interview with NBC’s Meet the Press that George H. W. Bush‘s presidential campaign reached out to him and asked if he was interested in being their vice presidential candidate. Trump’s answer comes after The New York Times revealed that in an upcoming Bush 41 biography, Bush claims that Trump had reached out to them, not the other way around. The then-vice president “thought the overture strange and unbelievable.”
