To me, Facebook's most egregious and repressive ban was months ago getting rid of the Free Thought Project (among many others) seemingly because they continually shared videos of police brutality? Their website still survives.
Wired reported Facebook's announcement about deploying a tool reserved for terrorist organizations and hate groups. While Facebook did that last week, the reasons could be deeper than just satisfying a large cohort of its users.
