The Case For An Independent Left Party

Many true progressives who voted in the election of 2016 held their noses and voted for Clinton or Trump. Their reason was, uniformly, that they will always vote for the perceived lesser of two evils. (Full disclosure: I voted for Stein.)

Given the eternal choice of voting for the lesser of two evils (L2E) or voting for a third party candidate, I believe that we will always end up with a President who serves the interests of the 1%, and as time goes by the tactics used will become more and more  in-your-face. 

And given that there are puppetmasters behind both parties who answer to Wall Street and the monopolies that partner with them, we will never get a government of, by, and for the people. 

This article, though lengthy, makes a strong case for a truly independent left party with dues-paying members.
