Under the Trump administration, U.S. air attacks in Afghanistan have sharply increased. But it now seems that the Taliban have acquired some means to counter them.

It seems rather coincidental that bombings should increase as the cries have been coming that we should get out of Afghanistan rather than expend over $4 Billion every month in an exercise that has no plan other than haphazardly killing whoever should be in the way of our bombs.

It would seem any non-bought politician could find a better way to spend $48 Billion annually in making the quality of life better here in our own nation rather than spending on buying bombs and committing crimes against humanity.

The idea that 2018 and 2019 were record years for USAF bombing is almost certainly false, as 2001 and several subsequent years were deliberately excluded from the range of years studied.

As best I can figure out what is going on, the US military is maintaining the war and preventing rebuilding despite the continued increase in mortality, at all ages but especially the youngest ones, preventing the creation of a modern public health system. Children are dying because it is often too dangerous to travel 50 or 100 km to a doctor unless the situation is already dire.

The increased air war substitutes for lower US troop levels, keeping the war going so that USA maintains its reputation as the Great Satan (or Tool of Satan). This makes a nuclear 9/11 event in USA plausible to the world as a pan-Islamic response, even though the likely mechanism is a nuclear cruise missile launched by an Israeli submarine.
