The organ from a CT scan of a victim of the Florida HS shooting looked like an overripe melon smashed by a sledgehammer, with extensive bleeding. a semi-automatic rifle  delivers a devastatingly lethal, high-velocity bullet, leaving nothing to repair, and is utterly, devastating! The bullet  from a  typical handgun injury  leaves a laceration through an organ like the liver. In a CT scan it appears as a linear, thin, grey bullet track through the organ.  "The wounds  were radically different!  How could a gunshot wound have caused this much damage? What can be done....?"
