Human rights activists said that they were surprised by the move and trying to learn details.

The word “natural” in such context is often interpreted to mean “God-given,” a phrasing that is less common in modern human rights literature but which could signal a religious component, experts said.

For some time, the phrase in our Constitution "...endowed by their Creator" has troubled me. I feel it is the foot in the door to separation of church and state. Oddly, and at odds with their pious pose, what Republicans continuously advocate is Social Darwinism, don't give anyone a break, it weakens the race, etc. Natural Law would take no prisoners, one would think; the very brutal past from which we have chosen to emerge.

God knows (pardon the pun) what their mission is with this nonsense, but you can bet it will become another convenient side show while the Main Event, the withering of support for the misguided economic stunts that are simply causing chaos, because that's all Trump knows how to do, continues.

Whatever the maddeningly cautious Left ends up doing, I don't think he has a chance of winning a second term, nor do I think he wants it. I think his naive policies legislating Republican claptrap, trying to sell bait that stinks already, will bring the GOP to its knees.

Then he can turn, with a wink and a smile and say "And you thought I couldn't accomplish anything!"

"Order from Chaos"

That's been the plan since before this nation was conceived. They've had lots of time to practice. And it is happening now.

Every single past president has made his contribution to it. Trump is the drum major leading the parade, distracting everyone from their machinations. Voting for someone else can't save us, since they are all working toward the same goal, otherwise thy don't get "elected".

That "China's a different culture" gaff is a big clue about what this is. Don't we get it yet? Ask 3 questions: 1. Do we really believe that any of these "commissioners" care about the human rights of non-elites? 2. Why would we trust any commission constructed of these people? 3. WTF? You see, they are going to have to agree on a definition of "human" first. And it will be based on 18th Century ideals. Human = white + male + landed. What do we see already happening? It is planned and it is written. #wearesoscrewed.
