Staffers resign en masse as Rep. Jeff Van Drew plans to make it official that he's a Republican

Democrats reacted to Van Drew’s imminent defection with something of an eye roll. ”What he’s reacting to is that he can’t get renominated,” Rep. Jerry Nadler said Sunday. “His district's electorate is 24% to renominate him and 60% for anyone else.” Van Drew’s staff refused to go along with his cowardice; while their former boss is abandoning his values, the staffers aren’t abandoned. DCCC Chair Cheri Bustos:“These staffers just quit their jobs to stand up for their values.
