Here is the entire video of Sanders discussing Latin America in detail, of which a small clip was played in the CNN/Univision Democratic Debate. Contrary to the McCarthyist red-baiting that ensued, Sanders passionately advocated for democracy and freedom, not communist dictatorships.

His complex and nuanced approach did not deserve to be caricatured as communist sympathizing. It is especially disturbing to see this charge - long used against the Jewish community - being thrown at our first serious Jewish contender for the presidency.
