Russia throws down the gauntlet to US on Venezuela

The US continues to be an embarrassment to the World as the “leaders” show their complete ignorance of democracy, law, and security as Pompeo calls the Maduro presidency “undemocratic” whereas in reality Maduro was elected by the majority of the Venezuelan citizens and their puppet Guaido simply announced himself as the president, not even a candidate on the recent ballot that saw Maduro winning. He’s calling Russia’s intervention “unconstructive” as the US government continues to sabotage the Venezuelan power grid and controls sanctions that are causing a deteriorating quality of life for the people.

What we have is a clear picture of the US showing the World we are being led by nothing more than criminals who will stop at nothing, even the blood of America’s youth,  to get what they want. At what point do we, the people, put a stop to this gangsterism?

The US continues to show the World we are led by criminal thugs.

At what point is the bully put down? It's gonna happen and how safe will we be then?

I am opposed to war, of any kind. However, in conventional terms, the US would likely, even according to Pentagon analysis, loose such a war with Russia (Russia's military is primarily defensive).

Underlying that is a crucial point. Russia's military budget is a small fraction of what the US war machine's is. And yet Russia's military power appears to be superior.

If, say, China were to embark on a scaled up military (they do have a powerful defensive military) their purchasing power is such that it would bankrupt the already debt burdened US, bringing US economy crashing.

US capitalism and its arrangement with the military complex is a demonstration of how we are being sucked dry in the US by a military machine that cannot even win a war against poor nations - Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria. Just look at what happened in Syria when Russia stepped in.

Bluster will not move Russia from Venezuela. I'm not keen on great powers, but the US needs to find a place among nations, not as an exceptional bully.

It appears the US military budget is not to provide better defense systems, but, rather, to promote PROFITS with approximately 15% being unaccounted for annually.
