The Center for Constitutional Rights, the International Federation for Human Rights, and the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights have filed three cases against Rumsfeld and others in Germany and France for the alleged torture of detainees in Iraq, Afghanistan, Guantanamo and at secret sites. They did so under universal jurisdiction laws that would let those countries indict US officials for torture. |
