The Union of Jewish Communities in Poland blasted Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki for saying that there were Jewish perpetrators in the Holocaust, denouncing his “moral blindness and historical ignorance.” [From the poster, Daniel Geery: Try as we might to understand the truth or falsity of the bs coming from Washington, mainly BS, we need to serioously watch and ponder this foundation of whether these and relate articles are T or F.]

In my run for U.S. Senate against Utah's Orrin Hatch, I posted many progressive ideas and principles that I internalized over the years. I'm leaving that site up indefinitely, since it describes what I believe most members of our species truly (more...)

AW...they want us to hear their side, as if there is some value in this.

Which brings me, to"bothsidesism -- the almost pathological determination to portray politicians and their programs as being equally good or equally bad, no matter how ludicrous that pretense becomes."

Bothsideism often leads to a story that allows audience members who share oppressive ideas to take comfort in their outdated or harmful opinions. It can also lead to whipping up hate against minority or vulnerable groups of people who are asking for help, human rights or to be treated with decency.

" 'Both-side-ism' is also a problem when it comes to issues we need real action on. Things like climate change (including how we build our cities and move through them), minority rights, racism and sexism. By giving equal time and, more recently, social media promotion to all possible voices and opinions on such stories there's no need for audience members to confront their privilege or habits, because someone similar would surely not be on the news (all the time) if something needed to change."

I love Oped and welcome it as a place where opinions can be expressed, and dialogue can ensue, and where I can 'call out' fallacious commentary that likens us to the Nazis, or points to those who were complicit inthe Nazi genocide." but then my cousin still has the numbers burned onto her arm --when they came for her and she was only 16.
