Palm Beach Post/New York Times Thomas Friedman: Democrats, here's the sure-fire way to defeat Donald Trump

I disagree with 90%, putting words in Bernie’s mouth, but it IS interesting.

Here are my Cabinet choices: my rivals. I want Klobuchar as VP. Her moderation will be greatly appreciated across America. I want Bloomberg for Treasury. Our plans for addressing income inequality are not that far apart; if we can blend them together it’ll reassure markets.

I hit the ceiling with this one: Biden as secretary of state. “No one in our party has more credibility with our allies.” I ask Warren to serve at HHS. Kamala Harris as AG attorney general: the integrity needed to clean up Trump’s corrupt mess; Mayor Pete at homeland security; ; Cory Booker, for HUD; Romney to be my commerce secretary; Andrew Yang to be energy secretary;Steyer to head a new Cabinet position: secretary of national infrastructure. We’re going to rebuild America, not just build a wall on the border with Mexico.

Early in the 2016 Primary campaign, I started a Facebook group: Bernie Sanders: Advice and Strategies to Help Him Win! As the primary season advanced, we shifted the focus to advancing Bernie's legislation in the Senate, particularly the most (more...)

You're right: that's very, VERY interesting. But I think there would have to be a heck of a lot more racial diversity"

I would start with sanity. He is all over the place. What is this a popularity contest?

Friedman's article might seem compelling to some, except that he's arguing for the preservation of the status quo, corporate control of both parties, and ignorant of the overarching dominance of the deep state agenda, fully embracing the financial cabal that is ravaging the planet and enslaving 99.9% of it's inhabitants.

Friedman concludes: "If they don't join together " you can kiss the America you grew up in goodbye."

I kissed the America I grew up in goodbye on Nov 22, 1963 and it's only gotten progressively worse. The healing of our ills is not to buttress the collapsing order of the status quo, but to suffer the birth pangs of a completely new spiritual, social, economic, and political transformation.

Well said. I agree.

I thought his article was interesting and wanted to share it but not for a moment would I find it "compelling." Krystal Ball has been ripping up Friedman for this and other centrist articles.
