Nicholas Wade is a science writer and has worked on the staff of Nature , Science and, for many years, on the New York Times .

In this long and detailed essay, the probability that the Corona Virus - SARS2 - came from a lab in Wuhan and not from natural animal vectors, becomes overwhelming. The reasons for both the Chinese and American governments, as well as their respective media, to not acknowledge this, are discussed in detail too.

 3 million people, so far, are known to have died from the Coronavirus, and probably many more unverified.  The economic, sociological and psychological damage is also ongoing and almost incalculable. Innocent bats or pangolins may, ironically, benefit from distancing by humans, who, by this account, are the most likely original vectors of this vicious and likely human-caused disease.
