After the New York Times revealed key facts from former national security adviser John Bolton’s upcoming book, Adam Schiff said that it was clear the information Bolton has is why Trump blocked him from testifying. “I think you have to for the sake of the office,” Trump told Fox News’s Laura Ingraham when she asked if he would block Bolton. Schiff tweeted Sunday that it’s clear what Bolton knows is something Trump wants to hide from Americans. “The President blocked our request for Bolton’s testimony. Now we see why,” said Schiff. “Bolton directly contradicts the heart of the President’s defense. If the trial is to be fair, Senators must insist that Mr. Bolton be called as a witness, and provide his notes and other documents.”

Yes, apparently Trump had 'Tied Ukraine Aid to Inquiries He Sought, Bolton book says' @SenatorSchumer - of course, all the GOP senators would be voting "YEA" to remove a Democrat President 'impeached' by the House (a 'co-equal branch of government'? - maybe not, if the GOP senators voted 'not to remove' Trump from office, signaling an end to our Republic 'as we knew it' with "Trump a Dictator") for 'abuse of power' and 'obstruction of congress', being 'sworn in' as they are to defend our Constitution and uphold 'the rule of law', and to 'render impartial judgement' on Trump's guilt, no 'IFs, ANDs, or BUTs' about it.

Why don't the educated liberals hanging on Bolton's every word support him for the dem nomination? I wouldn't buy a used nickel from him because a man of his high caliber would easily screw me out of most of it.

A point I haven't seen raised by anyone so far:

Suppose Trump, in his heart of hearts, as revealed to Bolton, really was tying aid to investigating Biden, if no Ukrainians knew that, where is the harm and what does it matter? Since Bolton said he wanted no part in the "drug deal", he apparently played no part in "pressuring" Zelinsky. If that's the case, how does it strengthen the case for impeachment to hear from Bolton.

It's just a narrow point, but it seems to diminish the idea that Bolton has a "bombshell" part to play.
