North Korea has threatened 'indiscriminate' nuclear strikes against the US and South Korea if they go ahead with joint military drills scheduled to commence on Monday. The announcement was made via an early Monday statement released by North's National Defense Commission, citing the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army (KPA). 'The indiscriminate nuclear strike... will clearly show those keen on aggression and war, the military mettle of (North Korea),' said the statement.
