Democrat voters surveyed by Reuters fear that impeaching President Trump over the Biden-Ukraine scandal will backfire, giving him a boost into the 2020 US election.  In short, Congressional Democrats looking to impeach have major credibility issues after the Mueller report failed to show that Trump 'colluded' with Russia, and a transcript of his call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky failed to show Trump strongarming him into investigating former Vice President Joe Biden and his coke addict son.

Impeaching is nothing much. Didn't get rid of Clinton. A slap on the wrist. Ought this not be about removing, indicting, arresting Trump...or having him put into Psychiatric caring institution?

The major problem with this impeachment process is it will go nowhere as there doesn't appear to be much more than a "he said-she said" issue. One could come up with many more sound reasons, although most of those have been committed by Obama and Bush and nothing was done at that time.

Let's suppose this charade continues. What are the possible outcomes? First, the House rules impeachment is in order and sends it to the Senate to be tried. The Senate will not convict, but to save face they may demand Trump step down from running for 2020. The Dems would be happy as they would feel like they won the 2020 election as it is felt they could defeat Pence. The problem, however, is the GOP would then run Nikki Haley who, IMHO, would be worse than Trump but has been a media darling for years.

I believe dropping this impeachment exercise would be best. Let Trump be beaten at the voting booth.

The problem is Trump won't be beaten in 2020. The Dems know this and that is why the desperate push for impeachment. And it is desperation because the Dems have nothing and they know it. Everyone here is in a liberal media created cocoon. Even those who have their heads halfway out of the sand don't seem to have any idea of the support Trump has from the public. I think some here who can still think for themselves outside of what they hear and read from their so called 'trusted sources' need to put their bias aside and preconcieved notions and actually look and listen to what the their 'enemies' are saying. From the horses mouth, so to speak. Even what some here consider impartial sources are still misleading you. That aside, just looking at the size of ALL of his rallies should tell you that at minimum half the country is behind Trump. And calling half the country illiterate and racist and whatever the current slur is, only increases his support. I'm quite serious when I say that trying to remove Trump from office will start civil war.

Just one example of rally size. And every rally is like this where ever Trump goes. There are almost as many people outside viewing from big screens that aren't able to get in. Does Sanders, Biden, Warren or any of them draw this support? I think not.
