“A number of lefties are softening their criticism and some are even announcing their support for Bernie Sanders. Yet: Those who have watched Sanders for years – e.g., anti-war activists from Vermont – know better than to trust Bernie “Chavez is [a] dead, communist dictator” Sanders.

In my run for U.S. Senate against Utah's Orrin Hatch, I posted many progressive ideas and principles that I internalized over the years. I'm leaving that site up indefinitely, since it describes what I believe most members of our species truly (more...)

A rather critical topic, to put it mildly. I recently said I'd support a Sanders-Gabbard ticket. I changed my mind and retract that comment, if such can be done. I DO NOT trust Sanders.

Would love to hear responses from others, particularly avid BS advocates...

I have said this before, Sanders has been compromised since just before the Democrat Convention and it was through threatening his wife. At the time I thought it may revolve around the headlines that she had done or was accused of something illegal in regards to a university Land Trust and Fund Raising.

However I still think this is the case (threatening his wife) but there may have been more than this involved behind the scenes.

Julian Assange Confirms Sanders Was Threatened

Julian Assange has confirmed that Bernie Sanders was threatened into pulling out of the Democratic race in July.
During a recent interview with Australian journalist John Pilger, Assange said that Bernie Sanders was forced to drop out of the race due to threats from the Clinton campaign. Assange's admission appears to substantiate claims by the Kremlin who revealed they had evidence that Jane Sanders was physically threatened in order to "get Bernie on board" with Hillary's campaign. The Clinton campaign knows he's on to her, too, which is why a strategist called for an assassination of Assange on TV.

No, Bernie's Not Anti-War
by KOLLIBRI TERRE SONNENBLUME

Though he is not a member of the political party that writer Paul Street regularly refers to as the "dismal, dollar-drenched Dems," Vermont's Senator Bernie Sanders is once more seeking its presidential nomination and has signed the requisite "loyalty oath." Sanders is often considered anti-war, but this is wishful thinking. His decades-long record in office demonstrates otherwise.

The Democratic Party has an undeserved reputation for being anti-war. The last time the party ran an anti-war candidate for president was George McGovern in 1972. The 1980's was the last decade when it was typical of candidates to pledge "defense" cuts or nuclear arms reductions. Dennis Kucinich has been the only exception to that rule this century. In fact, the most successful anti-war candidate of the last twenty years was a Republican: Ron Paul, who made a notable splash in both 2008 and 2012.

Berniecrats feeling burned as Sanders keeps mum on Assange's arrest

"A day after Julian Assange was arrested; Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders took the time to post a video about himself. Fans quickly flooded the comments, demanding that Sanders take a stand for Assange".

While the video Sanders tweeted on Thursday made the case for his long-established progressive record on civil rights issues, a large number of commenters responded that they were more interested in seeing what Bernie is willing to do today to protect people's rights, calling out his silence on Assange's arrest and its implications for freedom of the press.

Agreed. I posted a link on Sander's body language upon capitulation to HC, analyzed by a specialist, and it was clear that he was most distressed. I strongly suspected personal threat. Ditto the death of Kucinich's brother some years back. So many likely CIA take-outs it's hard to even remember them all.

Bernie might have been threatened...but that doesn't explain his voting record as listed in the Counterpunch article posted.

The 2016 election is like most US elections at least since Truman - National Security, Oligarch and Plutocrat vetted candidates. Trump snuck through (somehow) using the rigged elitist system of electoral college.

HRC was their "man", she proved it with her vaunted "we came, we saw, he died..haha". She would have a made a great Skull and Bones-man.

Sanders is no Gabbard.

Here's another distinction, what politicians went to Standing Rock to stand with the indigenous people and Earth against the pipeline Gestapo: Jill Stein, Ajamu Bakara, AND Tulsi Gabbard.

No sign of Bernie. Bernie calls Chavez and Maduro "dictators". He's living off of 2016 dusted off "New" Deal. The wars continue unabated. We must end this murderous empire policy. Tulsi Gabbard is unflinchingly on the right side of history.

I have no grounds to argue. Nor desire. I have the greatist respect for your thinking and well said words. Especially on this.
