Jerrold Nadler who is set to become next House Judiciary Committee chairman, denounced President Trump's immigration policies, saying the administration is "apparently willing" to let migrant children die.
"This is inhuman, and it’s not precedented," Nadler said on CBS."It’s is a deliberate creation of the Trump administration, which is trying to make things as miserable as possible.”
Nadler made the comments while speaking about the government shutdown, as well as the recent deaths of two migrant children who died after being taken into federal custody last month. He said the administration's "inhuman policies" are meant to "deter people from coming to the border and claiming political asylum."
