Have you ever wanted to help scientists find exoplanets, worlds orbiting distant stars? Well, now’s your chance! NASA has just launched a new citizen science website called Planet Patrol, a collaboration between NASA, the SETI Institute, the Space Telescope Science Institute, and Zooniverse. Volunteers will assist astronomers by looking through images taken by the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS), NASA’s newest planet-hunter, which was launched in 2018.

I know, I know, here we're supposed to only care about the miscreants in Washington and their dreary doings as we somehow tolerate a defective cretin for another month; but that's just a Sideshow, folks. Above is the Main Event, which if we blow, kind of reduces the rest to backpage, not that one will exist to print it on.

The negative thrust towards my Celestial Meme seems to be "Who cares? It's millions of years away! " But here's the thing, it's not. It all depends on Human Genius, that fragile commodity about which we may presume too much. Of all the mysteriously elegant and vanished cultures, no one seems to attribute the loss of intelligence as having anything to do with it. I beg to differ.

I keep parsing the phrase, "In the Beginning was the Word" and coming up with different interpretations. Seems to suggest that without language, nothing exists. Any thoughts?
