Mexico will extradite drug lord Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman Loera to the United States, the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) announced in a statement on Friday.
'The Ministry… is complying with each and every one of the requirements of the Extradition Treaty between the United Mexican States and the United States of America,' the statement read. The statement noted that Guzman is will be prosecuted in two different US district courts in Texas and California on charges of organized crime, possession of weapons, money laundering as well as a number of drug offenses.
