The mainstream press's one-sided picture of Venezuelan's situation tries to show that Maduro is depriving his people of food and medicine. US policies have made it harder for the poor of Venezuela, but there is no “humanitarian crisis." Despite the US blockade, blocking of Venezuela’s bank accounts, and sanctions, Venezuela provides food directly to 6 million families; providing 12,000 tons in the Andean Region.
Trump’s advance man for Venezuelan take-over? Elliot Abrams, convicted for his illegal activities in the Iran-Contra scam, set up to deliver drug money and weapons to right-wing death squads in Central America, the very same Elliot Abrams who used a false-flag operation of snipers shooting into an opposition protest during the U.S. backed coup attempt against Hugo Chavez in 2002, who then led the Venezuelan government.
