Lev Parnas, charged with campaign finance violations, told CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360°” that Graham has a personal interest in keeping witness testimony out of President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial.

“Sen. Lindsey Graham I haven’t had any contact with, but because of my relationship with Rudy Giuliani, I have a lot of information about his dealings,” Parnas said. “It was, like, surreal to watch Lindey Graham up there, sit there — he’s out there talking about all the stuff, that this is a sham, that this should go away.”

Parnas added, “ he was aware of what was going on going back to at least 2018, maybe even earlier. If you recall, he was the one Rudy Giuliani was supposed to bring Victor Shokin to when the visa got denied, and I think he was even, if you check the records, involved in getting the request for the visa somehow.”

One of the few facts I think I know about all this is that "opinions differ" about the prosecutor, Shoken. The article says the former Ukraine administration regarded him as "corrupt", but that coming from the Poroshenko administration could be regarded as a recommendation of Shoken, who as of today or yesterday has filed a criminal complaint against Biden for threatening the Ukraine government with withholding a billion dollars of US aid unless Shoken was fired within six hours, which is what happened.

The other part of the report speaks of "[Parnas'] and Giuliani's efforts to press Ukraine to announce an investigation of Biden." The White House defense lawyers at the Senate trial seem to me to have made a pretty good evidentiary case that no Ukrainians were even aware that they were being "pressed", if that means threatened with aid being withheld, to investigate anything until they heard about it on US news months later. It doesn't seem to me that the House Managers have tried much to show evidence to the contrary beyond having some American witnesses who thought that maybe that was occurring but didn't have any evidence of their own.
