Judge Neil Gorsuch well knows that he is fighting to take a seat on the Supreme Court, a seat that should have gone to Judge Merrick Garland, who Gorsuch himself described as an "outstanding judge." Yet Gorsuch trashed his own self respect during his Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing, by refusing to answer a simple question regarding the treatment of Garland. President Obama nominated Garland to replace the late Justice Scalia, but Garland was blocked by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and other Republicans who blatantly corrupted the confirmation process in 2016.
