Should religious schools that get state funding be required to teach secular subjects?
In a strange bedfellows story, for mostly political reasons, NY Governor Cuomo has carved out en exemption to required secular education because a State Senator's "vote is pivotal in the New York State Senate, which has 32 Democrats and 31 Republicans; Felder is a Democrat who caucuses with the Republicans and provides them with a one-vote margin."
This is almost as outrageous as the systemic educational deprivation going on in the cirty's Yeshivas, leaving generations of men who can't earn, and who leave high numbers of children similarly dependent on the state.
