Klobuchar canceled a campaign rally Sunday after protesters occupied the stage for an hour, demanding that the candidate drop out of the race over her involvement in a controversial murder conviction of a black teenager. The rally, scheduled to take place at 8 in St. Louis Park, was derailed when protesters affiliated with Black Lives Matter & MPLS NAACP and stormed the event, as seen in videos uploaded to social media, chanting “Klobuchar has got to go” and “Free Myon,” Burrell sentenced to life following shooting death. He was 16 when convicted in Tyesha Edwards’ death, hit by a stray bullet. That conviction was overturned by the MN Supreme Court; but Burrell was found guilty again following a second 2008 trial coming after Klobuchar had left the prosecutor’s office.
