'We have never gathered sub-surface material from a celestial body further away than the Moon,' he added.

'We did it and we succeeded in a world first.'

The fridge-sized probe made its second landing on the asteroid around 10:30am (0130GMT), with officials from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) breaking into applause and cheers as initial data suggested the touchdown had been a success.

I know, I know, I keep dropping these space things in the middle of hot political times like there was some connection. And that's because there is. Get your mind out of Epstein's pants for a minute and consider the significance of this moment in science that surpasses anything else happening by miles; and tell me why in the list of links I scrolled before publishing it, there was only one usable one, while the rest were reflective of these agonizing times and the lack of attention aimed at real human progress, rather than tales of degeneracy even at the heart of our own government.

I say let's get some priorities straight, before we dissolve into one of those historically self-destructive cultures that 'simply disappeared', nobody knows why, because I'm beginning to liken us to that big stupid house fly that keeps beating its head against the window until it drops dead, instead of turning around and saving itself.

We can't go on, wallowing in the sleaze being generated at the center of our lives, and last as a culture, a nation, because those responsible have "the guns, the military, even the bikers.."

and that's a quote from Our Dear Leader before the Mueller Report was published, when he thought it might end his career. I haven't slept well since. But the happy, intelligent world moves on, motivated by the best of intentions, seeking truth while the degenerates in Washington are figuring out how to make a few last bucks before they're shamed out of office, and the truth tellers are jailed or chopped to pieces in a Consulate, of all places.

Hell yes, this is political, this triumph in outer space. It's all we can do to redeem our sorry asses.
