America continues to be the world's leader in destabilizing regimes and military poking at the world's other rapidly developing military powers. It may not be a credible threat with the boondoggle of the F-35 and now, its sea-based cost-overrun, technology-failing equivalent, the Ford Aircraft Carrier. Claimed to be 98% complete, the Navy nevertheless is considering pulling the plug on the next 2 carriers in its class. Over-design, hardware/software failures are par for the course for today's bloated military, which also can't account for $7t over the last 20 years. It might be cheaper to just try getting along with the rest of the world.
