Israeli Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu says ties with the UN will be reassessed now that the Security Council has adopted a resolution calling for a halt on building illegal settlements. “I instructed the foreign ministry to complete within a month a re-evaluation of all our contacts with the United Nations, including the Israeli funding of UN institutions and the presence of UN representatives in Israel,” said Netanyahu on Saturday. Earlier, Netanyahu said that the administration of US President Barack Obama had allowed the UNSC to pass the resolution by refusing to veto it.
