In America, We Don't Jail Journalists

Iranian TV anchor Marzieh Hashemi was seized at the airport and thrown in jail.  Hashemi was born in the USA.  She is being detained without charge.  She is being insulted and mistreated, handcuffed, taunted with food that they know she will not eat for religious reasons, denied even the simplest foods that she CAN eat.  She was denied the opportunity for a single phone call, which common criminals are guaranteed.  I wish I could say "this is the beginning of press censorship in the USA" but it's truer to say "this is the middle."
