Drawing upon extensive archival research, the first part of Kruse’s book documents the alliance between religious leaders such as Congregationalist minister James W. Fifield Jr. and businessman J. Howard Pew Jr., president of Sun Oil and a major figure with the National Association of Manufacturers. Working out of his affluent Los Angeles community and congregation, Fifield formed a national organization called Spiritual Mobilization that attracted the support of big business while embracing unfettered capitalist traditions threatened by Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal policies.

Servants of Mammon posing as servants of God. Do any of these self-identified "Christians" actually read the Christian Bible, the New Testament whose loving God wants people to love and care for each other? Or are they pre-Christian Old Testament and think they are serving the jealous god of Leviticus who demands death for 'moral' infractions against the "laws" that were written by the Levite priesthood?

Can we stop this "America' usage...in that there's no such country called "America" and that the term is used by the mainstream as If the entirety of the Americas....from the Arctic down to Tierra del Fuego...is in sync with the US military-corprate state..the US OF America. Note the "OF".....

Hell, Hawaii, a stolen/colonized US state, isn't even IN The Americas. It's in Polynesia.

To call the USA "America" comes off as either uninformed, or propagandist.....thus diminishing the content of any following article or comment.

The usage of "America" to mean "United States" is well-established and has been for decades. Witness the song "Life is so good in America" from West Side Story. Anyway, I didn't choose the title, and your comment is largely irrelevant to the important topic.
