How Cuba Became a Biopharma Juggernaut

Although a small reference to Cuban economy at the beginning of the article doesn't exactly correspond to reality anymore, the history of the rise of Cuban Biotechnology and Science in general during the Revolution is written with inside knowledge. The article offers a perspective on the organization of scientific work in the research centers, products, macro-organization of the science and Biotech sector in particular and reviews the (scarce) reflection of Cuban success in the area in the media.
