A Federal Judge ruled this week that the state of California may not require Monsanto to put health warning labels on glyphosate (Roundup) because this violates Monsanto's First Amendment guarantee of free speech. The fact that glyphosate causes cancer is immaterial. The state of California can't require Monsanto to "say" anything that the "person" called "Monsanto" doesn't want to say.
Of course, this is happening at the same time that free speech on the internet is being curtailed in the name of assuring that only "true" (meaning "sanctioned") ideas may be propagated.
Free speech is too dangerous for anyone who dissents over vaccines or lockdowns or "Russian interference". But Monsanto has a right to say or not to say whatever they want, even as its product is killing its customers.
