Google Science Fair challenged teens from around the world to solve a problem they care about using science, technology, engineering, and math. Out of thousands of impressive ideas, the final winners have been selected. [I helped with many science fairs over the years, and was always inspired by the things kids did. dg]

As much as I have some issues with Google (and truly wish they'd get back to their roots), they still do some amazing things. The above piece popped up today as it may well have for you. I looked at several of these brilliant ideas and will be getting back to the others soon. Kudos to these brilliant, motivated kids!

P.S. I am immediately thinking of getting in touch with one or more of them regarding two of my own patented ideas that I want badly to pass on, having spent 22 years working on them. For any inventors, engineers, or interested folks out there, here are two of those: click here and click here My main goal was ultimately to use the more fully developed models for environmental research, and ultimately the airships for actual air travel (airships criss-crossed the skies for a good two decades, until the Hindenberg got caught on film. Long stories all, but then again what isn't?).
