In my opinion, below is a coagulation of some impact filled sentences taken from this article that speak to the theme:
Thoughtlessness has become something that now occupies a privileged, if not celebrated, place in the political landscape and the mainstream cultural apparatuses. A new kind of infantilism currently shapes daily life as adults gleefully assume the role of unthinking children and children are taught to be adults, stripped of their innocence and subject to a range of disciplinary pressures designed to cripple their ability to be imaginative. Increasingly, an intensified assault on young people is waged through the concepts of "soft war" and "hard war.
