The U.S. Department of Justice has indicted a sitting U.S. Congressman on charges of corruption. Chaka Fattah, a Democratic congressman from Philadelphia, faces charges related to corruption and racketeering – known as a RICO case. Fattah has served in the House for 21 years. Prosecutors say one of Fattah's schemes involved siphoning federal money to finance his losing bid for Philadelphia mayor in 2007.
