Kermit the Frog Testifies

Green New Deal: 

'Meeting power demand in USA through clean, renewable, and zero-emission energy sources'

'Upgrading all existing buildings' for energy efficiency.

Working with farmers 'to eliminate pollution and greenhouse gas emissions'

'Overhauling transportation systems' reducing emissions, including expanding electric car manufacturing, building 'charging stations' and high-speed rails so air travel stops becoming necessary.'

Guaranteed jobs 'with a family-sustaining wage, family and medical leave, paid vacations and retirement security' for Americans (guaranteed jobs makes sense with national mobilization creating hundreds of thousands of new jobs)

Mother Jones  just published a poll concluding: 'Faced with range of possible price tags, voters’ support varied, suggesting costs could factor high into the Green New Deal’s political viability.'
