Hispanic crypto-jews use social media and DNA to connect with their heritage. Crypto-Jews or Conversos are the descendants of those Jews forced to convert to Christianity due to the Spanish Inquisition or who otherwise did not maintain Judaism. Considerable research is now being performed on these populations and the history behind them, as well as DNA testing.
