One of the few perks of getting old is the perspective attained.

Fact is, I don't agree with the premise of this piece, but the figures are interesting. "There's no Right Way to Do the Wrong Thing."Became a watchword for me when I perceived how badly the Iraq war was going. At Israel's request, we bombed her political competition back into the stone age, period. We had to; they were getting "uppity".

What Conservatives lack are souls, intellects of any depth, solid plans, a sense of justice and morality. How they cheat their donors, gerrymandering and pimping out the born-agains, is symptomatic of their spiritual flaws. The balance of the contents of their constituency is 97% Simpletons and 3% Cynics.

The latter are consistently ripping off the former, consistently misrepresenting their platforms as pious attempts to recreate the plastic morality of the fifties, and consistently running off with money grabbed in the process of this pretense.

There was a similar run on banks back when Iraq first fell, when Neil Bush and John McCain were the shysters, but that memory faded in time for the more recent deflation, also under the watchful, crossed eyes of "W", who also stole his reelection.

So, back to squandering PAC money? Simple theft. From what I've observed over five decades, the GOP is a criminal operation, a party hijacked by carpetbaggers, a brand of human vulture that preys on the vulnerable, and banks on their ignorance. What's interesting is their vanity, in spite of being political slime. It never fails: The most virtuous pose obscures the least virtuous motives.
