Diane Ravitch offers a  VIEW OF THE PROPAGANDA PUT OUT BY CORPORATIONS: "Leave our children alone," said   Carol Burris  an experienced educator and Executive Director of the Network for Public Education,  who reacted  (in   personal  letter) to the  comment by   CEO of ExxonMobil, Rex Tillerson-- complaining  in a Fortune article (supporting the  Common  Core) …" that American schools turn out 'defective products.' For unknown reasons, he is convinced that the Common Core will fix those “defective products” (i.e., students) and make them 'college and career ready."
