California's rules for independent party voters could suppress the Bernie vote

The state’s arcane and complex voting system could steal hundreds of thousands of votes from Bernie Sanders. The catch is that most of Bernie’s supporters are registed “no party preference”. Legally, these people have a right to vote in the Dem primary, but in practice the Party has found ways to lock them out.
