Blood Fuel? George H.W. Bush and former Secretary of State James Baker handled negotiations with Nigerian officials to get Dick Cheney off in the KBR bribery scandal. A plea bargain deal was reached to pay $250 million for dropping charges. If this sounds like a bribe to settle a bribery case, it's not so funny to Nigerian activists looking to end the partnership between corrupt officials and crooked outside corporations.
